Gripple QT Pipe Clamp Kit | Two Quarter-Turn Clamps on a 240 mm Bracket
A complete two-pipe support in one part number: two QT universal clamps supplied with a 240 mm galvanised steel bracket. The clamps lock onto the bracket with a quarter turn by hand, and each clamp carries a 400 mm strap that wraps the pipe, so a single clamp covers everything from 15 mm copper up to 4 inch steel. The kit contains the 240 mm bracket and two QT clamps. Anchors, threaded rod, channel nuts and wire hangers are not included - they are selected by the installer to suit the structure. Pipework shown in the images is for demonstration purposes.
Why use a QT pipe clamp kit?
A conventional trapeze support starts as a length of strut channel. It has to be measured, cut to size, deburred, drilled where needed and then loaded with separate pipe rings, each one sized to its own pipe. That is bench work, offcuts, and on many sites a hot works permit before the saw comes out at all.
This kit removes that step. The bracket is already at length and already slotted, and the clamps attach with a quarter turn - no bolt through the bracket, no nut to drop from a ladder. The same clamp closes down onto 15 mm copper or opens out to 4 inch steel, so one part covers a run of mixed pipe sizes instead of a box of rings for every diameter.
Where is the QT clamp kit used?
Mechanical and building services pipework: heating and chilled water branches, domestic hot and cold, sprinkler and wet riser drops, condensate and small-bore plant connections. It suits plant rooms, ceiling voids, risers and corridors, and it is particularly useful in refurbishment, where access is tight and hot works are restricted.
How to use?
- Fix the bracket: bolt it to the soffit or wall, or suspend it on threaded rod or Gripple wire hangers, level and at the drop you need.
- Position a clamp over the slot in the bracket where the pipe is to sit.
- Turn the clamp a quarter turn by hand until it locks into the slot.
- Wrap the strap around the pipe, feed it back through the clamp and pull it up snug.
- Repeat for the second pipe, then check both for line and level before loading the run.
No tools are needed to fit the clamps to the bracket; the quarter turn is made by hand. Tools are only needed for whatever holds the bracket itself - a driver or spanner for anchors, or a tensioning tool if the bracket hangs on Gripple wire.
