π Acrefine Spring Vibration Isolators for HVAC & Heavy Equipment
Acrefine spring vibration isolators are designed to reduce low-frequency vibration transmitted from floor-mounted mechanical equipment into the supporting structure. Their higher deflection makes them suitable for chillers, cooling towers, compressors, air handling units, centrifugal fans and other rotating or reciprocating equipment.
This collection includes free-standing, base-mounted and restrained spring isolators with standard deflections of 25 mm (1β³) and 50 mm (2β³). Choose the product type according to the equipment load, operating speed, required deflection and need for anchoring or lateral restraint.
Why Use Spring Vibration Isolators?
- Low-frequency isolation: The greater deflection available from steel springs can provide more effective isolation than compact rubber mounts in suitable applications.
- Wide load range: Colour-coded spring options allow the supported load at each mounting point to be matched to the equipment.
- Installation choice: Select an open unit for free-standing installation, a base-plated model for fixing to the structure, or a steel-housed isolator where movement restraint is required.
- High-frequency control: Rubber linings help limit higher-frequency vibration passing through the spring assembly.
π Choose the Right Spring Isolator
1. Free-Standing Spring Isolators
Open spring isolators without a bottom fixing plate. They are used beneath floor-mounted equipment where anchoring the isolator to the supporting structure is neither required nor desired. Available with 25 mm and 50 mm deflection options and capacities up to 1,280 kg per isolator.
2. Base-Mounted Spring Isolators
Open spring mounts with a bottom plate and fixing holes for secure attachment. They combine adjustable spring support with a defined connection to the equipment base or supporting structure.
3. Housed Spring Isolators
Steel-housed isolators with all-directional restraint for installations exposed to lateral movement, wind or specified seismic actions. The housing limits movement while allowing the spring to operate at its selected deflection.
4. Heavy-Duty Spring Isolators
Restrained multi-spring assemblies for heavy mechanical equipment. Available models provide capacities up to 6,220 kg per isolator, with 25 mm and 50 mm deflection options.
π Selecting the Correct Isolator
Selection must be based on the actual load at each mounting point, equipment operating speed, disturbing frequency, required isolation efficiency, centre of gravity and restraint requirements. Do not mix isolators with different deflections or operating heights beneath the same equipment.
