Gripple Hang Fast Wire Suspension Fastener
The Gripple Hang Fast is the standard wire rope fastener in the Gripple range, covering rope diameters from 1.00 to 4.75 mm across four sizes. Rope is pushed through one channel, looped around the anchor point and returned through the second; the internal wedges grip it as the line is tensioned. The termination is made by hand - no crimp, no swage, no tool.

How to use?
The Gripple Hang Fast has two channels and fits by hand. No tool is needed to make the termination. That is the beauty of this innovation.

Pass a length of wire rope through one of the two channels.

Loop the rope around the anchor point, or around any suitable bracing point.

Return it through the other channel, pulling at least 75 mm (3") of rope through. Pull on the load-bearing section and the Hang Fast locks tight.
🔑 Releasing and re-adjustingA Gripple is one-way by design: rope goes in, rope does not come back. To let the rope run back out
- for dropping a run to its final height, correcting a line pulled too tight, or recovering the fastener for re-use - you need a matching Gripple key: the
Flag Key for No.1 - No.3, or the
Setting Key for No.4.
