Gripple Flag Key | Setting and Release Key for No.1 - No.3 Fasteners
A flat key with a flag-shaped handle and a keyring hole. Slide it into the nose of a Gripple hanger or joiner and it lifts the internal wedges clear of the wire, so the wire can run back out. That lets you drop a hanger to its final height, correct a run that has been pulled too tight, or take the fastener off the wire and use it again. Sold as a single unit.
Why use a Gripple Flag Key?
A Gripple is one-way by design: wire/wire rope goes in, does not come back. That is exactly what you want on a finished run, and exactly the problem the moment a drop is set too short or the wrong leg has been threaded. Without the key the fastener stays where it is and the only way back is to cut and start again. With it, the same fastener adjusts in seconds.
Where is the Flag Key used?
Wherever No.1 - No.3 Gripple hangers and joiners are installed and later adjusted: lighting and signage suspension, cable tray and small-bore pipework, ductwork drops, display and exhibition rigging, fencing, trellis and catenary lines. One per installer rather than one per van.
