Spring Hanger for Suspended Equipment & Services
Acrefine AH-S series vibration hanger is designed to minimize vibration and noise transmission from suspended equipment and services. The spring compensates for up to 15° rod misalignment in any direction. The hangers have welded steel housing and a load-carrying cup. The steel springs isolate low frequency vibrations, whereas the rubber washer eliminates high frequency vibration.
These hangers provide effective isolation for mechanical and electrical systems such as air handling units, fan coil units, ductwork, and piping systems. By introducing a resilient spring element, the AH-S range achieves a higher level of acoustic separation compared to rubber elements, making it ideal for buildings with sensitive vibration requirements such as studios, hospitals, and data centers.
Proper Design and Installation Applications
When designing a vibration isolation system, the selection of the correct spring hanger type and deflection rating is critical. The load must be evenly distributed across all supports to ensure consistent performance and to prevent structural imbalance. AH-S hangers are color-coded for easy identification of spring stiffness, simplifying both design and field works.
During installation, the hanger should be positioned vertically with the spring deflection verified under full operating load. The acoustic cup must not be compressed beyond its rated limit, ensuring the elastomer remains effective in damping minor movements. Properly installed Acrefine AH-S hangers contribute to long-term noise control, extended equipment life, and improved overall comfort in the occupied spaces below.
