Ribbed Anti Vibration Rubber Pad for Plant and Machinery
Acrefine API-D is a double-sided ribbed rubber pad. It carries high loads and reduces structure-borne vibration and noise from floor-mounted equipment such as pumps, compressors, air-conditioning condensers, heat pumps, generators, fans, workshop machinery, and gym and sports equipment. It is also used under the base plates of pipe and vessel supports.
Construction and Dimensions

Thickness: 14.40 mm (9/16").

Load capacity: 380 kPa (55 psi), i.e. 97 kg (214 lb) per 50 × 50 mm pad.

Deflection at max. load: 2.60 mm (0.10").

Ribs: taller and lower ribs alternate on both faces. The taller ribs carry light loads; as the load increases, the lower ribs engage and the pad stiffens.

Full sheet: 457 × 457 mm (18" × 18"), including cut allowance for the listed sizes. Cut it with a sharp utility knife; for many pads, the pre-cut packs save time and give square edges.

Values are per pad at 380 kPa (55 psi), with the load evenly spread over the pad. The 50, 100, 150 and 200 mm sizes are sold in packs of 4.
How to Choose and Install

How many pads: divide the weight of the machine by the load per pad and round up. Place the pads under the feet or base frame so each one carries a similar share of the load.

Natural frequency: at full load a single pad gives about 9.8 Hz; two stacked pads about 6.9 Hz and three about 5.6 Hz (estimated from static deflection, per industry practice). A lower natural frequency isolates lower-speed machines.

Stacking: separate each layer with a steel plate so the load spreads evenly across the pad below.

Bolting down: if the machine is bolted through the pad, use an elastic washer or grommet under the bolt head, so the bolt does not bridge the pad and carry vibration into the floor.
