Heavy-Duty Ribbed Rubber Anti Vibration Mat for Machinery and Pipe Supports
Acrefine API-S is a heavy-duty, single-sided ribbed rubber anti vibration mat, supplied as a sheet that you cut to the size you need. It reduces structure-borne vibration and noise under floor-mounted equipment such as air-conditioning units, heat pumps, pumps, compressors, generators and workshop machinery, and protects floors under heavy gym equipment. It is also used as a non-slip lining for pipe supports, to stop metal-to-metal contact.

Thickness: 7.70 mm (5/16").

Load capacity: 380 kPa (55 psi), i.e. 97 kg (214 lb) on every 50 × 50 mm.

Ribs: taller and lower ribs alternate on one side. The taller ribs carry light loads; as the load increases, the lower ribs engage and the mat stiffens.

Base: flat underside, non-slip ribbed top.

Full sheet: 457 × 457 mm (18" × 18"), including cut allowance. Cut it with a sharp utility knife.

Values are per pad at 380 kPa (55 psi), with the load evenly spread over the pad. For other sizes, allow 3.87 kg per cm² of pad area.
How to Choose and Install

How many pads: divide the weight of the machine by the load per pad and round up. Place the pads under the feet or base frame so each one carries a similar share of the load.

Natural frequency: at full load a single pad gives about 14.4 Hz; two stacked pads about 10.2 Hz and three about 8.3 Hz (estimated from static deflection, per industry practice).

Stacking: always put a steel plate between layers. Two mats laid rib to rib interlock and act as one stiff block.

Bolting down: use an elastic washer or grommet under the bolt head, so the bolt does not bridge the pad and carry vibration into the floor.
